Building a stronger data and AI community across Southeast Michigan.
We are a community-led educational initiative connecting practitioners, students, educators, employers and technology communities through free or accessible learning, monthly gatherings and larger community conferences.
Our mission
Expand access to practical data, analytics and AI education; connect people across cities, universities and employers; and create more local opportunities to learn, teach, volunteer and lead.
How we work
Monthly community meetups, technical sessions, certification and career guidance, university outreach, volunteer programs and the Day of Data Detroit flagship event.
Who it serves
Data engineers, architects, analysts, AI practitioners, BI professionals, students, faculty, career changers and technology leaders throughout Southeast Michigan.
Built to outlast a single event.
Volunteer-led leadership
The community is founded by Mou Rakshit and is building a broader volunteer leadership and steering structure. Open roles include event operations, university outreach, sponsorship, marketing, speaker coordination, accessibility and community partnerships.
